Ubuntu DNS resolve broken for some sites

Hi I've got a weird problem here;I've got a machine running Ubuntu 23.10. This is connected to the Internet via some Docsys modem using TV cable. The modem doesn't allow setting DNS-Servers so I'm using the DNS settings of Ubuntu and doing the resolving there.I do however have some issues with some sites. I.e. some rather important site for me www.strato.de, which is a German hosting provider, isn't reachable for me. This is driving me nuts since I can't seem to figure out why the system is behaving that way.

When I set my DNS server settings in ubuntu to automatic, nothing works. Restarting doesn't help and I can't reach any site. When manually setting 1.1.1.1 as DNS things start working again, albeit not for all sites (among them being strato.de), this also isn't resolved by adding i.e. 8.8.8.8 in Ubuntu's network settings.

When using windows on the same machine, everything works flawlessly.

Can anyone help me with this? I know the infos are pretty sparse, but this is unfortunately all I have.

Thx in advance,

greetzDeM
