React Native: The new Java toolchain feature cannot be used at the project level in combination with source and/or target compatibility

I am trying to upgrade react-native project from 0.64 to latest. I did replaced most of the outdated packages to the latest and so far so good.

When I try to run npx react-native run-android, error at the below pops out.

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.* What went wrong:A problem occurred configuring root project 'SsNative'.> Could not determine the dependencies of null.> Could not resolve all dependencies for configuration ':classpath'.> The new Java toolchain feature cannot be used at the project level in combination with source and/or target compatibility* Try:> Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace.> Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output.> Run with --scan to get full insights.* Get more help at https://help.gradle.org

I am currently hitting all the buttons to pass this error. But no luck at all.I guess some of the native packages or any other package using toolchain feature somehow but event I tried with jdk-11 and jdk-17 error still the same.

My root build.gradle;

// Top-level build file where you can add configuration options common to all sub-projects/modules.buildscript {    ext {       buildToolsVersion = "34.0.0"        minSdkVersion = 21        compileSdkVersion = 34        targetSdkVersion = 34        ndkVersion = "25.1.8937393"        kotlinVersion = "1.8.0"    }    repositories {       google()        mavenCentral()    }    dependencies {            classpath("com.android.tools.build:gradle")        classpath("com.facebook.react:react-native-gradle-plugin")        classpath("org.jetbrains.kotlin:kotlin-gradle-plugin")        // NOTE: Do not place your application dependencies here; they belong        // in the individual module build.gradle files    }}

And android/app/build.gradle

apply plugin: "com.android.application"apply plugin: "org.jetbrains.kotlin.android"apply plugin: "com.facebook.react"/** * This is the configuration block to customize your React Native Android app. * By default you don't need to apply any configuration, just uncomment the lines you need. */react { /* Folders */ // The root of your project, i.e. where "package.json" lives. I copied gradle files from a new project because old gradle files are completely off. Somehow winded up here and got stuck, there is not enough solutions on so or any other place for that error.

Thank you.

Solution-ish:This issue got resolved by itself when I upgraded gradle version >8.3.I don't have any idea if its related to the gradle version or not.
