CSI PV deleted the actual mount on the DB server

I have created a PV with CIFS mount of 192.168.1.10 (DB Server). The mount was used by one pod in the kubernetes cluster. The cluster was being managed using rancher. I had to migrate the cluster from one rancher to the other. For that purpose, I deleted the master node of the cluster and recreated it for joining it to the other cluster. In doing that, the actual mount in the actual server on 192.168.10.1 got deleted and the logs showed that the delete action occurred from the master node of the cluster whose IP was 192.168.1.50. What would have caused the actual mount on the server to be deleted in this scenario? The PV has PV reclaim policy set to Retain. CSI driver that is used is smb.csi.k8s.io
